Generally, we address the challenges of asset quality, interest rate risk, regulation and a host of other issues unique to the banking industry. COVID-19 made us change our focus dramatically. “My most important responsibility during the pandemic has been keeping our staff and customers safe. All of us have taken extraordinary steps to do the best we can in this endeavor, and I would guess a day does not go by where this topic is not discussed. “Our staff and customers and their families are our most valuable asset. We have to do all we can to protect them.” For your bank’s community outreach, how do you determine where to devote resources? “We take pride in our efforts to make the communities we serve the best they can be. Whether it is with time, talent or treasure, we are committed and understand our role.
