Hoosier Banker 53 CROSSROADS BANK / Wabash Emily Boardman has been promoted to executive vice president and chief administrative officer. She previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer. A certified public accountant, Boardman joined the bank in 2007 as controller, was promoted to CFO in 2009 and in 2015 added various operational duties. She is president of the Indiana Bankers Association Future Leadership Division Advisory Board and in that capacity serves on the IBA Board of Directors. Kirsten Pendarvis has been promoted to vice president and chief financial officer. She previously served as controller. She joined the bank in 2020. A certified public accountant, Pendarvis previously was employed with BKD CPAs & Advisors. Jay Vandeburg has joined the bank as vice president, commercial and agricultural lending officer. He previously served in banking for nine years, most recently as vice president of business lending and credit analyst in Marion. Vandeburg additionally worked for 20 years managing multiple corporate farms. Active with the Boy Scouts of America, he is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has completed the Midwest Agricultural Banking School. Jonathon Lackey has joined the bank as branch banking officer in Syracuse. He has prior banking experience in Champaign, Illinois, and in Syracuse and Warsaw. Lackey is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and Parkland College. MERCHANTS BANK OF INDIANA Carmel Mark Harville has been promoted to vice president, Small Business Administration business development officer. He joined the bank as business banker in 2018, prior to which he worked for 12 years with PNC Bank, NA. Active in the community, Harville has completed the Madison County Leadership Academy. John Rinker has joined the bank as vice president, business banking. He previously was a relationship manager for First Merchants Corporation for three years. Rinker also served with PNC Bank, NA, in a variety of roles including senior business banker and commercial banking relationship manager. Additionally, he worked for nine years with Fifth Third Bank. Rinker earned a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Lynne Coverdale has been promoted to mortgage loan originator of Merchants Mortgage, a division of Merchants Bank of Indiana. She previously was a mortgage closer on the processing team. Coverdale has more than three decades of experience, serving in roles including resource ambassador for Gaylor Electric, mortgage loan officer for Centier Bank and senior mortgage consultant for Salin Bank & Trust. In 2009, Coverdale was recognized by Scotsman Guide Magazine as the No. 1 mortgage originator in Indiana for production and volume. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
