He has over 20 years of financial industry marketing experience, previously serving as chief marketing officer for superregional banks throughout the Midwest and Texas. Mather earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a master’s degree from the University of Toledo, where he completed the JD/MBA joint program. BANKERS ON THE MOVE KENTLAND BANK Brittney Greer has been promoted to manager of the Lake Village branch. She joined the bank in 2016. Greer is active with Junior Achievement, the local elementary PTO and the Head Start Program. Marcia Corns has been promoted to manager of the Roselawn branch. She joined the bank in 2013 and has 20 years of banking experience. Corns serves on the Colfax Township Board of Trustees and is treasurer of the Lake Township Volunteer Fire Department Association Board. She previously held roles with North Newton Athletic Boosters and Junior Achievement. Corns is a graduate of Ball State University. PREMIER BANK / Defiance, OH Drew Martin has joined the bank as vice president, commercial lender serving the Fort Wayne market. He has more than 10 years of industry experience and most recently served as assistant vice president, Treasury management/commercial lending for a community bank in Huntington. Martin is board chair for Paul’s Place: Support For Families. He earned bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Indiana Tech. FOWLER STATE BANK Steven Brunton, executive vice president and chief financial officer, is being named president and CEO effective Jan. 1, 2022. He joined the bank in 1986 and was promoted to his current position in 2010. Brunton succeeds Steven Pettet, who is scheduled to retire on Dec. 31, 2021. FIRST BANK OF BERNE Rick Gorrell has been promoted to information security officer. He has been with the bank for nearly 30 years, holding positions in the bookkeeping, loan and IT departments and serving as a volunteer for Junior Achievement. Gorrell is a graduate of Grace College, the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, and he earned an MBA from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. In celebration of the Indiana Bankers Association’s 125-year anniversary – “quasquicentennial” – in 2022, the IBA will showcase the histories of each member bank and their role in building the strength of the Indiana banking community.
