12 JANUARY / FEBRUARY 2022 Reflecting on your career, what accomplishments are you most proud of? “When I look at the employees of First Bank that I have the privilege to lead and see how they have grown in their jobs and have taken First Bank to another level, I take pride in knowing that I have had a part in creating a workplace that encourages the employees to volunteer in the community and gives them the time to do that. “Our employees have embraced our tagline ‘doing great things together,’ both for customers and not-for-profit partners. It is a fun and satisfying place to work.” Please share a bit about your family/home life. “My wife Cheryl is a retired registered nurse. She has worked in several different specialties over her career. Our daughter Beth, son-in-law and two grandsons live in South Bend. Our son David, daughter-in-law and one-year-old granddaughter live in Jupiter, Florida. I could not have been successful in my career without the support of Cheryl and my family. “While we weren’t born in Richmond, we have lived here for 33 years and we consider it home.” Wall hangings show images from the “I Love my Bank” and “Doing Great Things Together” marketing campaigns of First Bank Richmond.
