Jackson County Bank, Seymour, opened its second banking center in Bloomington with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 29. The new location at 2421 South Walnut St. is the bank’s 11th banking center in its south-central Indiana service area. HB Lake City Bank, Warsaw, celebrated the opening of its 51st office in the new combined Elkhart High School with a ribbon-cutting that was part of the school’s Community Night on Oct. 4. The branch is the first of its kind for Lake City Bank, offering high school students an opportunity to gain on-the-job skills, while providing the bank with experience engaging with the next generation of team members and customers. Bank associates and board members were present to commemorate the opening, along with members of the Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, representatives of the city of Elkhart, school staff and students. Carmel Mayor James Brainard took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a $5,000 check was presented to the Carmel Education Foundation as part of the bank’s commitment to the community.
