He started his banking career in 1992 and has experience in areas including commercial lending, branch management and mortgage lending. Kamminga serves as treasurer for Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County and the Shepard Center of Hamilton County, and he is an ambassador for the OneZone Chamber. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Anderson University. He previously served with First Internet Bank of Indiana as a project manager and with First Merchants Bank in positions including marketing manager, sales development specialist and talent development manager. Curts is a graduate of Indiana University and of the Leadership Academy. Kendra Chastain has been promoted to vice president, commercial/ag banking officer. She joined the bank in 2014 as an ag loan officer. Chastain earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University. Alyssa Allison has been promoted to BSA officer. She joined the bank in 2019 as risk management assistant and most recently served as BSA and risk management analyst. Allison is a graduate of Indiana University. Latoya Brown has joined the bank as mortgage loan underwriter. She previously served with a credit union as a lending risk specialist and has nearly 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry. A certified master mortgage underwriter, Brown is a graduate of Valdosta State University and is working toward an MBA from the University of Maryland-Global Campus. Nicole Kendall has joined the bank as commercial banking officer. She has 16 years of banking experience, including retail and small business banking, with First Merchants Bank and Old National Bank. Kendall serves on the board of directors of the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce and as president of the Economic Development Commission. She is a graduate of the University of Evansville. HORIZON BANK / Michigan City Tracy Woolsey has been promoted to senior vice president, senior corporate sales and customer experience officer. She joined the bank in 1999 and has more than 20 years of experience working with business owners acting on behalf of Horizon as trustee of the employee stock ownership plans. In 2018, Woolsey was named ESOP Chapter Officer of the Year by the ESOP Association. Additionally, she is a member of the Indiana ESOP Association, has co-chaired the Employee Ownership Great Lakes Conference fundraising committee and chairs the fiduciary committee of the ESOP Association. Woolsey is a graduate of Purdue University. MERCHANTS BANK OF INDIANA / Carmel Janette Milbornhas joined the bank as Treasury management officer. She previously was a business relationship manager for Chase Bank in the Bloomington and Indianapolis regions. Milborn has more than 30 years of banking experience, including service in management and advisory roles in retail banking, retail training and development, and wealth management. She is a graduate of Indiana University.
