52 JULY / AUGUST 2022 Three recipients of the 2022 Prochnow Educational Foundation/Indiana Bankers Association Scholarship have been named. The scholarships, valued at $4,500 each, provide an annual discount from the regularly charged fees for the three-year Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Every year, two scholarships are provided by the IBA Foundation to individuals, and one is provided by the GSB Banker Advisory Board to an IBA-member bank, which selects a banker. Congratulations to the 2022 recipients: Justin R. Proctor is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Bath State Bank. He also serves on the bank’s board of directors. Before joining Bath State Bank in 2018, Proctor served with three Congratulations, GSB Scholarship Winners firms in Indianapolis: Ernst & Young LLP, Celadon Group Inc. and BKD CPAs & Advisors (now FORVIS). He is a Ball State University Young Alumni board member, a SOAR mentor through the BSU College of Business, a board member of Imagination Library of Union County, a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana and a licensed sports official through the IHSAA. A certified fiduciary and investment risk specialist, Proctor earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University. Danielle Shaw is senior vice president, retail banking, with Bippus State Bank, Huntington. She also serves as the secretary of the board of directors. Shaw joined the bank in 2016 and was promoted to her current position in 2019. She began her career in banking 15 years ago as a management trainee with National City Bank. A member of the Huntington Optimist Club, Shaw is a graduate of Huntington University and earned an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Jim Neff serves as vice president and commercial lender of First State Bank, Middlebury. He has been with the bank for five years and has 13 years of financial services experience. A graduate of Goshen College, Neff is board chair for the Middlebury Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Menno-Hof cultural education center and a member of the Rotary Club of Goshen.
