Hoosier Banker 31 Jennifer N. Green has been appointed to the boards of directors of Republic Bancorp Inc. and of Republic Bank & Trust Company, Louisville, Kentucky. She is vice president of global mergers and acquisitions for YUM! Brands. Green previously served the organization as director of transformation and chief of staff and as director, corporate counsel. Prior to joining YUM! in 2016, she served as the vice president and counsel, corporate secretary of Americas for Credit Suisse and additionally practiced law at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Green is a member of the Civilian Review & Accountability Board of the City of Louisville and of the Business Council to End Racism, Greater Louisville Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a JD from Columbia Law School. Timothy S. Huval has been appointed to the boards of directors of Republic Bancorp Inc. and of Republic Bank & Trust Company, Louisville, Kentucky. He is chief administrative officer of Humana Inc., which he previously served as chief human resources officer. Prior to joining Humana in 2013, Huval held a number of positions at Bank of America, including human resources executive, chief information officer and head of operations for various lines of business. He also served in senior human resources and operations for Gateway Computers. Huval serves on the advisory board for MyCareGorithm LLC and is a past board member of Seacoast Banking Corp. He earned an associate’s degree from Salt Lake City Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University and a master’s degree from Brigham Young University. Michele M. Magnuson has been elected lead director of the board of directors of Horizon Bancorp Inc., Michigan City. Magnuson (formerly Thompson) has 33 years of banking experience. She has served in leadership with The La Porte Savings Bank and La Porte Bancorp Inc. and was appointed a director of both organizations in 2007. Magnuson joined The LaPorte Savings Bank in 2003 as chief financial officer and was named vice president in 2004, executive vice president in 2007, and president and CFO in 2011. She also served the predecessor organization of La Porte Bancorp Inc. as executive vice president and CFO (named in 2007) and as president and CFO (named in 2011). Since 2016, Magnuson has been serving on the boards of both Horizon Bancorp Inc. and Horizon Bank. She is a graduate of Ball State University and earned an MBA from Indiana University-South Bend. Diane Medley has been appointed to the board of directors of German American Bancorp Inc., Jasper. She is executive chairman of MCM CPAs & Advisors LLP, an associate member of the Indiana Bankers Association. Active in public accounting since 1981, Medley cofounded Chilton & Medley in 1988 and Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP in 2010. She chairs the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and has been active with Greater Louisville Inc., Impetus for a Better Louisville, International Women’s Forum-Kentucky Chapter, Louisville Chapter of NAWBO, the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy, the Kentucky Society of CPAs, Leadership Kentucky, Leadership Louisville, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Hardin Memorial Hospital Foundation and One Southern Indiana. A graduate of the University of Louisville, Medley serves in leadership with the University of Louisville board of trustees and the University of Louisville Health Inc. Melina Kennedy has been appointed to the board of directors of The National Bank of Indianapolis Corporation. She is vice president-product compliance and regulatory affairs for Cummins Inc. An attorney, Kennedy previously served as deputy mayor for the city of Indianapolis. Sharon Reed Walker has joined the board of directors of First Federal Savings Bank, Evansville. She is president of The Long View Group LLC, which she founded after a 35-year corporate career that included leadership assignments with Mead Johnson/ Bristol-Myers Squibb, DuPont, Scott Paper and Soft Sheen Products Inc. Walker serves on the board and chairs the finance committee of Deaconess Health System, Evansville, and she is vice chair of the board of Deaconess Hospital and a board member of Donaldson Capital Management, an associate member of the Indiana Bankers Association. Walker is a past board member of the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science, Mesker Park Zoo, YMCA, WNIN-FM and the University of Evansville Shanklin Theatre. She has been named a Distinguished Hoosier and was granted the Bert Wertman Alumni Service Award from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where she earned an MBA.
