Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana has recognized First Savings Bank, Jeffersonville, for its contribution of more than $1 million through the First Savings Charitable Foundation. A celebratory event took place on May 24 at the James W. Robinson Junior Achievement Center for Freedom of Enterprise. Since 2010, First Savings has donated $1,043,700 to the JA chapter, serving 42,071 Indiana students in Clark, Crawford, Harrison and Washington counties. The financial support has allowed southern Indiana students to participate in Sam Swope JA BizTown and Chase JA Finance Park. Three member organizations of the Indiana Bankers Association were named in May to the inaugural list of Great Employers to Work for in Indiana by Best Companies Group, a BridgeTower Media Company. The honor is based on a review of practices, programs and benefits, plus anonymous employee surveys.
