Examples of partnerships with ISCDC: Community First Bank of Indiana, Kokomo – Partnership in March 2022 enabled Earthwise Plastics, Gas City, to add a production line for manufacturing semitrailer walls and doors. The company was consequently able to hire several new employees. First Farmers Bank & Trust Co., Converse – Partnership in April 2022 allowed ZZ Diesel, Kokomo, to open a larger building. The new location combines the company’s garage, workshop, warehouse and online sales personnel, plus permits the company to keep up with latest technology. First Internet Bank of Indiana, Fishers – Partnership in April 2021 helped Tactive, formerly known as Print Resources, to open a new fulfillment and distribution facility in Partnership Financing Lending a helpful hand One of the ways that banks help the communities they serve is by engaging in partnership lending to increase capacity to lend to businesses and nonprofits. Multibank Venture In September 2021, the Merchants Capital real estate equity team partnered with three institutions – First Merchants Bank, Muncie; The National Bank of Indianapolis; and Merchants Bank of Indiana, Carmel – to close the Indiana Social Impact Housing Equity Fund II LP, which targets large-scale revitalization of vacant single-family homes in traditionally disinvested neighborhoods in and around downtown Indianapolis. The fund infused $2.7 million in institutional private equity to support the urban homeownership mission of Full Circle Development. The organization is part of the revitalization of the Martindale Brightwood neighborhood in Indianapolis. German American Bank, Jasper – Partnership in July 2022 assisted the owners of Downtown Fitness & Running in purchasing and renovating a vacant, century-old building located on Main Street in Jasper. The move has increased foot traffic for the shoe company. Lake City Bank, Warsaw – Partnership in December 2021 helped Fire Dawgs Junk Removal in Pendleton to remodel its building. The remodeling allows the company to house training facilities; run a shop for local operations; and open new markets in Muncie, Anderson and Fishers. State Bank, Brownsburg – Partnership in May 2021 assisted Chapman Custom Baths in purchasing and remodeling a building. The new location is more easily seen from Main Street in Brownsburg than the prior location, and the move has enabled the business to add new employees to its team. HB
