STAR BANK / Fort Wayne Kevin Wright has been promoted to president, working out of the Monument Circle location in Indianapolis. He joined the bank in 2008 and was promoted to senior vice president of commercial banking in 2018. Wright serves on the Corporate Work Study board at Providence Cristo Rey High School and on the Indiana Chapter Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the Indianapolis Business Connection Committee at Taylor University and is involved with Butler MBA Connect. He also coaches sports through the Carmel Dads’ Club. Wright has a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University, an MBA from Butler University, is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and earned a leadership certificate from the Wharton School of Business. Former president Tom Wright has transitioned into the role of vice chairman. Jim Cook has joined the bank as north region president. He has nearly 40 years of financial experience, most recently as market executive/ executive director of Chase Bank. Cook serves on the boards of directors of the Allen County Fort Wayne Improvement Board of Managers, Greater Fort Wayne Inc., Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and Indiana Chamber of Commerce. He attended Indiana University and is FINRA Series 79 and 63 certified. Brittainy Chaffee has been promoted to assistant vice president. She has 10 years of banking experience, including six at STAR. Nicholas Adams has joined the bank’s marketing team as project manager. He has six years of experience in project management, most recently at a local marketing and advertising firm. Adams received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. Melissa Geyman has joined the bank as branch manager, Scott Road location, Fort Wayne. She began her banking career in 2014 with Woodforest National Bank and was named a branch manager in 2017. Geyman has been active with Whitington Homes & Services, Community Harvest Food Bank in northeast Indiana and local animal shelters. She is a graduate of Ball State University.
