24 JANUARY / FEBRUARY 2023 Josh Myers Vice President - Member Engagement Indiana Bankers Association JMyers@indiana.bank The IBA’s Future Leadership Division closed out another successful year of creating opportunities for emerging leaders in the industry. In addition to the tremendous FLD Leadership Conference and Day at the Statehouse held previously in 2022, the FLD rounded out its calendar by hosting five networking lunches throughout the state. These lunches provided FLD members with opportunities to network with other peer bankers and included roundtable conversation based on industry and leadership and professional development topics submitted by attendees. Thank you to all who made the effort to join in these worthwhile lunch events, as well as others who participated throughout the year with FLD. As we move into a new year, there are a few FLD updates that I would like to share with members. The FLD Advisory Board will be under new leadership as a new president and vice president assume their positions for the year. Brock C. Goggins of German American Bank, Jasper, will now serve as president of the FLD. In addition, he will serve on the IBA’s Board of Directors as the FLD representative. Michael J. Clampitt of North Salem State Bank will serve as vice president of the FLD Advisory Board. Both Goggins and Clampitt have served with the FLD Advisory Board and have been active contributors in the FLD for several years. These leadership updates follow the tenure of Jon-Myckle Price of Security Federal Savings Bank, Logansport, who helped to guide the FLD during 2022 and will remain on the advisory board as immediate past president. In addition to leadership changes, the IBA Future FLDRoundup FLD FOCUS Leadership Division is welcoming a total of four new members to the Advisory Board in 2023. FLD Advisory Board members advise the Indiana Bankers Association on matters related to FLD events, offerings and strategies for reaching next-generation bankers and bank leaders, acting as ambassadors for the banking industry.
