Hoosier Banker 25 Katrina Mills, assistant vice president, operations solution architect, of Lake City Bank, Warsaw, has been awarded the 2022 Indiana Bankers Association FLD 2 LDP scholarship. The scholarship provides $1,500 toward registration fees for the IBA Leadership Development Program. The FLD 2 LDP scholarship was created to provide an additional benefit to IBA Future Leadership Division members. The goal is to help develop and inspire new leaders in the banking industry through participation in the IBA Leadership Development Program. Gregerson, president and CEO of The Farmers Bank, Frankfort, has been elected chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis board of directors for 2023-24. First elected to the board in 2013, she is wrapping up a two-year term as vice chair. A certified public accountant, Gregerson earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and master’s degree from Indiana Tech. She was recognized as an Outstanding Woman in Banking by Northwest Financial Review magazine in 2016, and Woman of the Year by the Indiana Bankers Association in 2020. Sherri Reagin, executive vice president and CFO of North Salem State Bank, was recognized in November by BankBeat magazine as a 2022 Outstanding Woman in Banking. Reagin serves on the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and the Indiana Board for Depositories. She also serves on the U.S. Coin Task Force, the national FedNow Pilot program and the Bank Operations and Payments Committee of the Independent Community Bankers of America, and is a founding member of the U.S. Faster Payments Council. Thirty-five banks were honored this year as top performing small-cap banks and thrifts that outperformed in growth, profitability, credit quality and capital strength.
