30 MARCH / APRIL 2023 Daniel Elliott was formally sworn in as Indiana’s 56th Treasurer of State on Jan. 9. He succeeds outgoing Treasurer Kelly Mitchell, who served since 2014 and was unable to run for re-election because of constitutional term limits. Elliott said at his swearing in that he’s dedicated to expanding the reach of the Indiana Bond Bank, particularly in its service to rural counties and municipalities. On the same day, he announced Jacob Blasdel as his selection as the new executive director of the Indiana Bond Bank. Blasdel has worked for the Town of Speedway since 2017, most recently as clerk-treasurer and utilities manager. HB however, some mothers may have delays in letdown and may need longer. Employers should also make sure that managers and supervisors are aware of the obligations imposed under these laws. Many pregnancy discrimination cases arise from managers being unaware of the company’s obligations. It is important that managers are informed and regularly trained on the company’s legal obligations and company’s policies so they do not discriminate and know how to properly respond to pregnancy accommodation and nursing mother requests.
