Hoosier Banker 31 FROM THE BOARD ROOM Mark E. Bruin, president and CEO of The National Bank of Indianapolis, has joined the Indiana Bankers Association Board of Directors, representing the South Region. He serves as a board member for LYNX Capital Corporation, Noble of Indiana and Premier Capital Corporation. Bruin is also a member of the Economic Club of Indiana and the Mortgage Bankers Association. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana University. Sherri L. Reagin, chief operating officer at North Salem State Bank, has been elected to serve as delegate for Indiana on the ICBA Federal Delegate Board. Her three-year term began in March. She will represent the opportunities and challenges faced by community bankers in Indiana and participate in recommending policy positions to the ICBA Board of Directors, as well as be ICBA’s representative on the Indiana Bankers Association Board of Directors. Reagin sits on a number of other boards as well, including the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, the Indiana Board of Depositories and the Hendricks Regional Health Foundation. She is also active on the U.S. Coin Task Force and provides expertise for the FedNow Pilot Program and the U.S. Faster Payments Council. She was named Outstanding Woman in Banking by BankBeat magazine in 2022. She earned her bachelor’s degrees from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, is a certified public accountant and completed the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. HB ALLIANCE JUNIOR BOARD VISITS PULASKI MEMORIAL Alliance Bank’s Junior Board toured Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac in February. Junior Board members got to talk to and ask questions of CEO Steve Jarosinski, Director of Nursing Linda Webb and Human Resources Director Cheryl Podell. They then toured each of the hospital’s departments to gain a better understanding of different positions and equipment. In November 2020, the hospital began the largest renovation project in its 50-year history. When finished, its square footage will double its former footprint and include nearly twice as many exam rooms.
