He has been with the bank since 2007 and has more than 20 years’ experience overall. Squires received the Ernestine M. Raclin Community Leadership Award in recognition of his dedication to community leadership and the causes he is most passionate about. He currently serves on the board of directors for Erin’s House for Grieving Children. Squires earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Fort Wayne, participated in Leadership Fort Wayne in 2010 and was named one of Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s 40 under 40 in 2013. Cecile A. Weir has been promoted to commercial banking manager. She has more than 25 years of banking overall, spanning retail, mortgage lending, credit underwriting and commercial lending. Weir serves on numerous boards and committees including YWCA Northeast Indiana, Brightpoint, Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, Financial Executives International, Builders and Contractors Association, Community Development of Northeast Indiana and WOWnet, a women’s networking group. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Fort Wayne and a master’s degree from Indiana Tech University. BOONVILLE FEDERAL SAVINGS BANK Jennifer Southard has been promoted to assistant vice president, treasurer. She has six years of banking experience. Southard joined the bank in 2017, serving as teller and later head teller before moving to the accounting department. Ruthy Fugate has been promoted to assistant vice president. She has five years of banking experience. Fugate joined the bank in 2018 as loan administrator, most recently serving as mortgage loan officer. CROSSROADS BANK / Wabash Nathan Fansher has been promoted to executive vice president, chief credit officer. He joined the bank in 2007 as a credit analyst and most recently served as senior vice president of credit administration. Fansher serves as president of the Visit Wabash County Board of Directors, is on the Economic Vitality Committee of Downtown Wabash Inc. and serves on the Title Center of Indiana Board of Directors. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Manchester University and completed the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. PEOPLES BANK / Munster David J. Kwait has been promoted to senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief risk officer. He joined the bank in 2011. Kwait is an advisory member of the Porter County Government Non-Profit Charitable Foundation Inc., which oversees proceeds from the Porter County Hospital. He has also volunteered with the Center for Civic Education, the Boys and Girls Club, the American Legion, Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, the Anti-Cruelty Society and Habitat for Humanity. Kwait earned his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University, master’s degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and juris doctorate from the University of Notre Dame.
