He has been with the bank for 10 years as a teller, branch operations coordinator and branch manager. Burnell has joined the bank as vice president, commercial banking officer with 19 years of experience in financial services. He is a past president and board member of Kiwanis Club and former board member for the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System. He also volunteers with Toys for Tots, the Marine Corps League and United Way. Burnell earned an associate degree from Mohave Community College and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado. He actively served in the United States Marine Corps for five years and in the reserves for another three. Steven B. Burnside has been promoted to vice president, investment officer. He has been with the bank 10 years. Burnside is a member of the CFA Society of Indianapolis, volunteers with the Children’s Resale in Elkhart, teaches Junior Achievement classes and is a lead bike-course marshal for Girls on the Run Michiana. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University South Bend and a master’s degree from Indiana University, and has the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst certifications. Shelley A. Meyer has been promoted to vice president, private banking manager. She has been with the bank for one year. Meyer earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and is a graduate of the Indiana Bankers Association Commercial Lending School and Leadership Fort Wayne. She is co-chair of the Vera Bradley Foundation Sponsorship Committee, a member of the Vera Bradley Classic Steering Committee and the United Way Childcare Exploratory Committee. Meyer also volunteers with Junior Achievement, Erin’s House for Grieving Children, Junior League of Fort Wayne and United Way Day of Caring.
