Jason L. Harris has been promoted to mortgage market manager and bank officer. He joined the bank in 2007 while he was still in college. Since finishing his bachelor’s degree through Indiana University Northwest, Harris has served as assistant branch manager, community lender and community lender manager. He volunteers through the Gary Rotary Club and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and is a board member with the Mortgage Bankers Association. Michel Alvarez has been promoted to bank officer, branch manager. She joined the bank in 2017 as assistant branch manager before being promoted to branch manager. She has a dozen years of experience in banking overall, including time at other institutions as a bank teller, loan specialist and call center representative. Alvarez has served on several community boards, including Women in Business with the Goshen Chamber of Commerce, Goshen’s Emerging Leaders and Dress for Success. She graduated from the Goshen Chamber of Commerce’s leadership program. Peter Wilson has been promoted to bank officer, small business portfolio manager. He first joined the bank in 2022 as small business banking analyst. Wilson is a member of Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s in Crown Point and volunteers with the Entrepreneurship Committee of the Urban League of Northwest Indiana. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville. FIRST BANK RICHMOND Bradley Glover has been appointed chief financial officer for both the bank and its holding company, Richmond Mutual Bancorp Inc. He had been serving as acting CFO since May 2023. Glover has been with the bank since 2011, most recently serving as vice president and controller. He will continue serving in both those capacities. FIRST MERCHANTS BANK / MUNCIE Scott Steinwart has been promoted to market president for the bank’s Northwest region. He joined the bank in 2010 as senior vice president, commercial manager, and spent the past four years as regional chief sales officer for the Northwest region. Steinwart serves on the board of directors for Campagna Academy and the Crisis Center, and as a trustee for the John W. Anderson Foundation in Valparaiso, which supports various charitable organizations throughout Lake and Porter counties. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and an MBA from Indiana University. GERMAN AMERICAN BANK / JASPER Mary Moorhouse has been promoted to senior vice president, chief risk officer, effective April 1. She most recently served the bank as vice president of risk management. Moorhouse earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, her juris doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law and holds the certified enterprise risk professional certification from the American Bankers Association. HENDRICKS COUNTY BANK & TRUST COMPANY / BROWNSBURG Bill Boyd has joined the bank as vice president, loan officer. He has more than 34 years of financial experience, including commercial lending, investment advising, mortgage lending and insurance underwriting. Boyd volunteers with the Kiwanis Club of Mooresville. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and has completed the financial services counselor certification from the American Bankers Association. HOME BANK / MARTINSVILLE Christopher Marks was promoted to senior vice president, chief information officer as of the bank’s annual meeting in April. He joined the bank in 2021 as vice president, director of information technology after 18 years of industry experience spanning IT, lending, human resources, retail banking and more. Marks earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and holds the designation of certified banking cybersecurity manager from the SBS Institute. HORIZON BANK / MICHIGAN CITY Mark Secor is transitioning from chief financial officer to chief administration officer. He has served as CFO for 16 years, during which time the bank grew from $893 million to $7.8 billion, including growth through 12 mergers and acquisitions. JULY/AUGUST 2024 33
