Lane First Federal Savings Bank of Washington The Indiana Bankers Association operates under the guidance of the Association’s Board of Directors. Acting as the governing body of the IBA, the Board consists of 17 members: three elected officers, one past chairman, the association president/CEO, two representatives of national associations, the Future Leadership Division president, a non-Indiana headquartered bank director and eight regional and at-large directors. The functions of the Board are to develop IBA policy and establish long-range goals and objectives. The Board also helps determine the IBA’s legislative programs and positions on banking-related issues. The IBA Board acts with the same authority as the board of a bank or corporation. An executive committee — consisting of the chairman, first and second vice chairmen, immediate past chairman, association president/CEO and two directors appointed by the chairman — is authorized to act in lieu of the Board between regular board meetings. Officers serve one-year terms and are elected by the membership at the IBA Annual Convention. Members of the 2024 Board assumed their positions on Jan. 1. BEN BOCHNOWSKI Benjamin J.
