NORTHWEST BANK / WARREN, PA Gay Barrett has been promoted to area manager for Delaware and Randolph counties. She has been with the bank since 2022, most recently serving as Indiana human resources business partner. Barrett volunteers in the community in the areas of inclusion, literacy and animal rescue. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Governors University. Teresa McMillan has joined the bank as office manager. She comes to the bank with 18 years of experience in various roles across the banking industry. OLD NATIONAL BANK / EVANSVILLE Monica Rubio has been promoted to be the bank’s market president for Northwest Indiana. She has more than 25 years of banking experience, most recently serving as vice president, community market manager for the bank. Rubio serves on the boards of the Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, H.A.S.T. (Hammond Academy of Science & Technology) and Old National Bank Charitable Foundation. She is also a commissioner for the City of Hammond Economic Development Commission and the Hammond Sanitary District. She serves as a national co-chair for the bank’s Hispanic/Latino Impact Network Group and is an associate & community engagement co-chair for the Northwest Indiana market. PEOPLES BANK / MUNSTER Benjamin Schmitt has joined the bank as senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. He has nearly 20 years of investment banking and corporate advisory experience, primarily in the community banking sector, most recently serving as president of Rally Consulting LLC. Schmitt routinely volunteers with local civic and charitable organizations, religious groups and recreational sports activities. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. PNC BANK, NA / WILMINGTON, DE Jason King has joined the bank as vice president of community development banking. He has more than 20 years of commercial and corporate banking, lending, retail banking and other strategic development experience. Schmitt has served on multiple boards, including Prosperity Indiana, Balance of State Continuum of Care, Flagship Enterprise Capital and the Carmel Education Foundation, and is an active Cub Scouts volunteer leader. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hanover College, an MBA from Butler University, and is a graduate of the United Way of Central Indiana’s Leadership United program and the Hamilton County Leadership Academy. STAR BANK / FORT WAYNE Scott Freeman has joined the bank as chief investment officer with more than 20 years of experience in investment services. He currently serves on the board of Michigan Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. Freeman earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Western Michigan University and holds the chartered financial analyst designation. Jim Cook has been promoted to executive vice president of commercial banking. He has been with the bank since 2022 and has nearly 40 years of financial experience. Cook serves on the Greater Fort Wayne Inc. Board of Directors and serves as president of the Allen County Fort Wayne Improvement Board of Managers. He attended Indiana University. STATE BANK / BROWNSBURG Jeffrey Jenness has joined the bank as senior vice president of retirement and wealth planning.
