1st Source Bank, South Bend, formally opened its latest branch on Feb. 29 in Niles, Michigan. As part of the grand opening, the bank presented a check to Luvability Ministries, a local nonprofit that provides services to adults and teens with intellectual disabilities. Members of the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce, the community and 1st Source Bank gathered to cut the ribbon on the bank’s newest branch in Niles, Mich., on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024. Kellen Van Hulle, regional sales manager; Coley Pesce, business banker; Shelli Alexander, regional president; Becky Spicer, retail business banker; and Lagena Frantz, branch manager Centier Bank, Merrillville, cut the ribbon on its newly renovated downtown South Bend branch on Jan. 22. The bank first opened the branch at 108 N. Main St. in 2017. The renovations expanded its footprint by 1,319 square feet, including an expanded lobby and additional teller line. South Bend Mayor James Mueller (center) was on-hand for the ribbon cutting alongside bank representatives, including (from left) President Chris Campbell, Market President Len Amat, Chairman & CEO Mike Schrage, and Branch Manager Kevin Fautz. Meanwhile, the bank hung its signature “big blue bow” on its newest Indianapolis branch in mid-February ahead of the branch’s March 4 grand opening at 6210 Allisonville Rd.
