Rod Lasley Chief Operating Officer Indiana Bankers Association RLasley@indiana.bank Rod joined the IBA staff in 2009 after 18 years in banking. He oversees all the Association’s products & services, business practices, member engagement and corporate communications. He also serves as the Association’s CFO and president of two for-profit companies owned by the IBA. Jim and Tom Marcuccilli of STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, were named Red Coat recipients by the Mad Anthonys Foundation. The recognition is given annually to individuals who have made a positive impact on the Fort Wayne region and the state. Jim currently serves on the board of directors for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, IU Health Foundation and YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne, among other past and present positions. Tom has served on the boards of the Embassy Theater, Indiana Wesleyan University and Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce, among other organizations. The pair will be recognized at the Foundation’s annual Red Coat Gala on May 18. Twelve IBA members have been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Regional Banks for 2024, including four that received the top-rated five-star ranking: German American Bank, Jasper; Horizon Bank, Michigan City; Old National Bank, Evansville; and STAR Bank, Fort Wayne. Other recognized members were Citizens State Bank, New Castle; Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati, OH; First Bank of Berne; First Farmers Bank & Trust Co., Converse; Flagstar Bank, Troy, MI; Huntington National Bank, Columbus, OH; Northwest Bank, Warren, PA; and WesBanco Bank, Wheeling, WV. Douglas A. York has been appointed chairman of the board for First Savings Bank, Jeffersonville. He is a certified public accountant working as director of DMLO, a public accounting firm, practicing primarily in the bank’s service area.
