Forbes released its list of the top five banks in each state. Results were calculated based on a survey of customers ranking: ▶ customer service; ▶ quality of financial advice; ▶ fee structures; ▶ ease of navigating digital services and accessing help at branch locations; and ▶ the degree of trust the financial institutions inspired. In addition to this survey’s results, responses from the past three years were also taken into consideration, as well as online text reviews and ratings from February 2021 – March 2024. Large nationwide banks with branches in more than 15 states were excluded. Based on those criteria, Indiana’s top five banks were: 1. Centier Bank, Merrillville 2. First Farmers Bank & Trust, Converse 3. Alliance Bank, Francesville 4. 1st Source Bank, South Bend 5. Huntington National Bank, Columbus, OH Out-of-state IBA-member institutions that were recognized in other states include Associated Bank, Chicago (recognized in Wisconsin); Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati (Florida and North Carolina); First Financial Bank, Cincinnati (Ohio); Huntington National Bank, Columbus (Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia); and Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, Louisville (Kentucky). Forbes also released its list of “Best Employers for New Grads.” For this list, surveyors spoke with more than 100,000 young professionals (less than 10 years of work experience) working for companies with at least 1,000 employees in the U.S. They were asked to rate companies on: ▶ compensation; ▶ benefits; ▶ advancement opportunities; ▶ working conditions; ▶ flexibility; ▶ company image; and ▶ inclusion. Responses from the previous three years’ surveys were also considered, and the top 400 companies were released in May. Four IBA-member banks made the list for banking and financial services: ▶ Bank of America, Charlotte ▶ Chase Bank, New York ▶ U.S. Bank, NA, Minneapolis ▶ 1st Source Bank, South Bend BancMac provides correspondent and wholesale lending and is your Community Bank Mortgage Partner to help your financial institution originate fixed-rate secondary market loans including: PROGRAMS • Conventional Loans • USDA Rural Development Loans • Rural Living (Hobby Farm) Loans • VA Loans • Jumbo Loans • FHA Loans OUR PARTNERS RECEIVE: • Superior Service & Competitive Pricing • No Minimum Volumes • Significant, Non-Interest Fee Income • Non-Solicit Protections & More BANCMAC COMMUNITY BANC MORTGAGE CORP.
