Chairman’s Message SUPPORTING OUR INDUSTRY DAVID MOORE, 2024 CHAIRMAN, KADA Dear KADA Members, Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your 2024 KADA Chairman — I couldn’t be more honored. Each year presents new changes and obstacles to face in our industry, but it couldn’t be a better time to be a part of KADA. The KADA team and Board of Directors are working hard on your behalf, listening to your concerns and pushing to improve the future for all Kentucky dealers. The automotive industry is continuously changing, and recently we have seen a number of issues that prove to challenge how we do business. However, through the relationships that KADA has built with legislators who support our business, we have accomplished various legislative and regulatory feats. In this year’s General Session, we saw solutions to discrepancies with prior owner disclosure information and registration for out-of-state co-buyers. Additionally, we were able to establish that qualifying dealerships may conduct their own inspections on out-of-state vehicles. Not to mention that our previous legislative success with the Clerk’s Modernization Bill is now officially taking effect, as dealerships across the state are being introduced to electronic titling and registration! Thank you to everyone who reached out to their legislators this session and in sessions past. Your participation matters. And one of the biggest ways we can support our industry is by contributing to the KADET fund. This fund helps ensure that legislators who understand all that we contribute to the Commonwealth of Kentucky are elected to office. With your support, we can continue to grow and protect our business. I look forward to seeing each of you at the KADA events this year, and I am so proud to serve such an incredible group.
