His family established the Bill Collins Parkinson’s Patient Resource and Education Center at University of Louisville Health-Frazier Rehab Institute. “This center helps bring awareness, education and resources to those affected by this disease, as well as to their families,” he said. “We hope to provide support and offer an understanding of the care needed for Parkinson’s patients.” Collins has also donated a Ford Mustang Mach-E to the National Parkinson’s Institute for the group’s annual car raffle. This organization supports the fight against Parkinson’s by improving the quality of life through exercise, education and research. An active member of Atherton High School Alumni Association, where he currently serves as vice president, Collins helps organize the annual induction and banquet for the high school’s Hall of Fame. “Current students are also involved in the selection process,” he said. “They act as hosts for the award ceremony, building pride and respect for past students and their accomplishments.” Collins also supports Fair Lane, the Home of Clara and Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, and the Rotary Club of Louisville.
