JACK E. HOPKINS Jack E. Hopkins is vice chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA), the only national organization that exclusively represents community banks. He also serves as president and CEO of CorTrust Bank in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Jack serves in many leadership roles at ICBA. He is a member of the ICBA executive committee and board of directors and is vice chairman of the Federal Delegate Board. He serves on ICBA’s policy development and ThinkTECH selection committees and is the executive committee liaison to the Housing Finance and the Rural America & Agriculture committees. He served as president and chairman for the Independent Community Bankers of South Dakota from 1999-2001. Additionally, he is trustee for Sioux Falls Catholic Schools Foundation and chair of the University of South Dakota Foundation’s Audit Committee. Jack has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Dakota. STEVE BECK Steve Beck, founder and president of Beck Seminars, is an author, keynote speaker and master facilitator who brings more than 25 years of corporate executive experience to his programs and events. Steve has earned a solid reputation as an outstanding speaker, motivator and instructor. He has provided training solutions to some of the most respected names in the business. Steve is the author of “How to Have a Great Day Every Day!” and “Customer Service Is Not About The Customer.” JONI HOPKINS Joni Hopkins is a vice president for the Federal Reserve’s Product and Relationship Management Group as part of the Federal Reserve Financial Services Area. Joni’s responsibilities include engaging and collaborating with community financial institutions throughout the United States to help define and prioritize system improvements that advance payment speed, efficiency and security. Joni has been with the Federal Reserve System for over 25 years. Her background is rooted in working with community bankers across the United States. In addition to her experience at the Federal Reserve, she has worked for two commercial banks and a Payments Association. She was awarded the EPCOR Marquis Award for outstanding leadership, innovation and excellence in the development, implementation or advancement of electronic payments and risk mitigation solutions and is known as a champion for electronic banking services. Hopkins’s undergraduate degree is from Kansas State University. She received her master’s degree from Kansas Wesleyan University and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management Executive Education program. She holds an Accredited ACH Professional designation. BILL ELLIOTT Bill Elliott has more than 40 years of banking experience. As a senior consultant and director of compliance education at Young & Associates, Bill works on a variety of compliance-related issues, including leading compliance seminars, conducting compliance reviews for all areas of compliance, conducting in-house training and writing compliance articles and training materials. During his career, Bill spent 15 years as a compliance officer and CRA officer in a large community bank and also worked for a large regional bank. He has been a lender for consumer, commercial and mortgage loans and has managed a variety of bank departments, including loan review, consumer/commercial loan processing, mortgage loan processing, loan administration, credit administration, collections and commercial loan workout.
