Dealers Show Appreciation for Governor Tate Reeves MADA hosted an appreciation luncheon for Governor Tate Reeves in Jackson. Dealers from across the state took the opportunity to personally thank the Governor for his support of issues that are important to the franchised automobile dealers. The highly successful event raised $62,500 for Governor Reeves. $20,000 was contributed from the MADA Auto PAC, and the balance came from individual contributions. Governor Reeves has been very supportive of automobile dealers, including signing the most important legislation that MADA has ever supported (HB 401). In addition to signing HB 401 this year, the Governor has stood strong on the following issues: • OPERATION 47 (signing the new warranty reimbursement law) • Keeping dealership sales and service operations open during shelter-in-place orders • Signing the law removing the June accelerated sales tax payment • Signing the COVID-19 liability protection bill last year, which is still in force today • Appointments to the Mississippi Motor Vehicle Commission CONTRIBUTORS Jonathan Allen J.
