another successful fundraiser for FCH — the “Clays for Kids” clay shooting tournament, which raised $70,000. However, beyond the dollar figures, John’s legacy is defined by his heart, drive, wisdom and servant leadership style. He leaves behind a lasting impact that extends far beyond the balance sheet. In recognition of his exemplary service, the FCH Board honored John with the first FCH car tag ever issued in 2005. Additionally, a bench in front of the children’s hospital will be dedicated to him, serving as a permanent testament to his dedication. A tree in the Rainbow Garden will also be dedicated to John and his wife, Jeanne, in memory of their son, Hudson Scarbrough. As John takes his leave from the FCH Board, the organization and the community have benefited from his tireless efforts, unwavering commitment and the positive impact he has had on the lives of countless children and their families.
