Ackerman has more than 25 years of experience in financial management. Monica M. Anderson, CPA, of Holdrege provided financial support for the performance of American concert violinist Rachel Barton Pine at The Tassel in Holdrege in February. Julie D. Bauman, CPA, of Falls City has been elected to a three-year term on the Peru State College Foundation Board of Directors starting in May. Bauman is a native of Dawson, is a 1995 Peru State graduate, and is the CEO and owner of Julie D. Bauman, CPA, PC, in Falls City. She is a past chairman of the Nebraska Society of CPAs. Blake L. Berke, CPA, was honored for his inclusion in the Midlands Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Class for 2022. Berke is the chief operating officer at McGill Restoration in Omaha. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mary C. Blaney, CPA, has been promoted to vice president of finance at Burlington Capital in Omaha. Blaney joined Burlington Capital in January 2017 as corporate controller. She also serves as chief financial officer of Burlington Capital’s real estate investment trusts. She previously worked for RSM US LLP. Blaney graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Russell R. “Russ” Gronewoldhas been appointed to the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry Board of Directors, serving as a district representative. Gronewold is president and CEO of Bryan Health in Lincoln. Kelly A. Mann, CPA, of Omaha is a Trailblazer nominee for CalCPA’s 2023 Women to Watch Awards. Mann worked in public accounting for 12 years before starting her own CPA firm. During the process, she noticed a lack of technology in the employee benefit plan audit space and subsequently became the CEO and co-founder of AuditMiner, a B2B online SaaS program. Since its release in 2021, AuditMiner has continued to streamline the employee benefit plan audit for CPA firms across the country. The award ceremony will be held during CalCPA’s Elevate: Women’s Leadership Forum this spring. Taylor J. McCormick, CPA, of O’Neill has been hired as chief financial officer of West Holt Medical Services in Atkinson. McCormick received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Steven E. Pribnow, CPA, JD, of Fremont has been appointed to the inaugural Inland Port Authority Board by Fremont Mayor Joey Spellerberg. Pribnow is a managing partner for Erickson & Brooks CPAs in Fremont. He serves on the board of trustees for the Nebraska Society of CPAs’ Political Education Committee. No more than five inland port districts may be designated statewide.
