Joyce Anderson, CPA, of McCook was one of the sponsors of the Prairie Plains CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) first annual TACO BINGO fundraising event held Feb. 24 in McCook. Prairie Plains CASA supports and promotes court-appointed volunteers, serving as a voice for neglected and abused children in the court system. Ethan T. Boes, CPA, has been promoted to supervisory senior at Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha. Boes joined the firm in 2018 as an intern. He has been an integral part of oncampus recruiting and researching topics for firm training sessions and materials. Boes graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. Joshua M. “Josh” Borowski, CPA, has been promoted to tax director at Chief Industries in Grand Island. He joined the company in January 2012 as a tax and internal audit analyst. Borowski earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and his Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Chadron State College. Jennifer L. Brown, CPA, has been named interim CEO of Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services by the Chadron Community Board of Trustees. Brown is a 2000 graduate of Chadron State College and spent 17 years with FALCO and its successor Gardner Loutzenhiser & Ryan PC (now Casey Peterson LTD) before being named CFO of Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services in April 2017. Elizabeth Cabrera, CPA, has been named controller at Boys Town in Omaha. She spent more than nine years at KPMG LLP in Omaha, most recently as senior audit manager. Cabrera holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Human Resource Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. William E. “Bill” Conley has announced his retirement in September as CFO at Sarpy County. Conley’s 40-year career included accounting, finance, and executive positions at Deloitte, Omaha World-Herald Co., University of Nebraska at Omaha, Northstar Foundation, and Sarpy County. Community service has always been a passion for Conley, and he plans to continue serving on several area non-profit boards. Jeffrey A. “Jeff” Faltys, CPA, has become a shareholder at Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha. Faltys has been actively involved in external business development groups and with many firm initiatives such as the scheduling committee, tax line of business, and coaching and career development of young staff. He is a graduate of Wayne State College. Samantha R. Keller, CPA, has joined Lutz as a senior accountant in the tax department. Keller received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of NebraskaLincoln. She works in Lutz’s Omaha office. Cecilia E. London, CPA, has been promoted to supervisory senior at Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha. London joined the firm in 2018 as an intern. She is on the Standing Advisory Board for the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s School of Accounting and is a graduate of UNO with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting. Nicolas E. “Nic” Maxfield, CPA, has been promoted to senior associate at Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha. Maxfield joined the firm in 2020 as an intern while attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting.
