Philip J. “Phil” McHenry, CPA, has been promoted to supervisory senior after joining Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha in 2023 as an experienced CPA. McHenry has more than a decade of experience in accounting and compliance roles in public accounting and in the private and not-for-profit sectors. He brings a range of knowledge to his role of providing financial audit and assurance services and System and Organization Controls (SOC) attestation services. McHenry holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Daniel J. “Dan” Morris, CPA, has been promoted to partner at Frankel LLC in Omaha. Morris joined Frankel in 2012 after working for a Big Four firm. He specializes in business valuation and provides a variety of tax and compliance planning services for pass-through entities and their owners, as well as trusts, estates, and employee benefit plans. Morris graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy. Robert P. “Trey” Rongisch, III, CPA, has been promoted to supervisory senior at Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha. Rongisch interned at the firm in 2020 and has been involved in the firm’s tax legislation committee and the coaching and career development of young professionals. He is a graduate of Midland University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. Chris C. Roth has been appointed to the Economic Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Roth is president of Reinke Manufacturing in Deshler. Established in 1985, the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) consists of business representatives from across the Tenth Federal Reserve District. The EAC meets with Kansas City Fed leadership twice a year to offer insight on the regional economy. Daniel R. Shepherd, CPA, has been promoted to partner at Frankel LLC in Omaha. He joined Frankel in 2019 after working for another CPA firm for 14 years and specializes in tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory services for closely held businesses in various industries including construction, real estate, and agriculture. Shepherd graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. He also earned a Graduate Certificate in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Stephanie F. Vanicek, CPA, has become a shareholder at Hancock & Dana PC in Omaha. With more than 10 years of experience at the firm, Vanicek has been a part of several firm initiatives including tax line of business, scheduling committee, and the coaching and career development of young staff. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting. Allison M. “Allie” Vetter, CPA, has joined Lutz as a senior accountant in the healthcare and client accounting services departments. She previously interned with the firm during the summer of 2019. Vetter received her Master of Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She works in Lutz’s Omaha office.
