Buller graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in May 2008. Casey J. Carpenter has been promoted to supervisor at Dohman, Akerlund & Eddy in Aurora. Carpenter graduated from Hastings College with a BA in professional accounting and a minor in economics in May 2009. Randy L. Langemeier of Alliance was recently elected secretary/treasurer of the Box Butte General Hospital Board. Tricia J. Montague , managing director, Deloitte , has been named the newaudit leader of theOmaha andDesMoines offices. She hasmore than 26 years of public accounting experience with Deloitte. Douglas D. Morris has been promoted to manager at McFarlin & Brokke PC in Omaha. He joinedMcFarlin & Brokke in 2015, graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2016, and became certified as a CPA in 2017. Robert J. Osborne was promoted to partner at Frankel Zacharia LLC in Omaha. He graduated from Creighton University with a BSBA in both accounting and management information systems. Osborne joined the firm in 2006. Michael J. Smith II has been promoted to president of McFarlin & Brokke PC in Omaha. Smith, a partner and shareholder of the firm, graduated from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in 2008, and became certified as a CPA in 2011. Michael R. McFarlin had served in the role of president since 1992. McFarlin will continue to serve clients and assist in firmoperations. Scott A. Brokke continues as vice president and treasurer. Rachel A. Turek has been promoted to manager of the audit department at Bland & Associates PC in Omaha. She received a Bachelor of Science in accounting at Bellevue University in 2011, where she was named Student Athlete of the Year in volleyball in 2009. Cara Zimmer has been promoted to supervisor in the audit department at Bland & Associates PC in Omaha. She joined the firm in 2012. Zimmer g raduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska in Omaha in 2013, receiving a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She also received a Master of Accounting at UNO in 2014. Lutz has announced the merger of its Grand Island North and Grand Island South offices into one location at 3320 James Road, Suite 100, in Grand Island. The new office opened on Monday, January 7. Brad L. Fegley is the Lutz Grand Island president and consulting shareholder. The new building includes more than 10,000 square feet of office space and a large training facility. Lutz, in conjunction with the Grand Island Chamber, hosted a business after hours and ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 24. Shotkoski & Associates PC has announced the grand opening of its branch in York on the second level inside the Henderson State Bank at 627 North Lincoln Avenue. An open house was held on January 11.
