10 The Technical Committee consists of quality control specialists, technical managers, and engineers from member companies as assigned and approved by the association’s executive leadership. The Technical Committee develops, researches, analyzes, proposes, and executes specifications, guidelines, and best practices to ensure quality materials and applications are used in asphalt pavement construction. This committee is the indispensable knowledge-base of the association in making recommendations to the executive leadership and to UAPA’s Board of Directors. This committee’s focus centers on what is best for agencies and owners in striving to maintain and preserve what is typically one of their largest assets, their roads.
