The San Diego County used vehicle market declined 7.3% during the first six months of this year versus a year earlier, compared to the 5.4% increase in new vehicle registrations. As shown on the graph to the left, the 7 to 10 year old market held up relatively well in the first half of this year. Used registrations of 7 to 10 year old vehicles declined 5.4%. The 4 to 6 year old market declined 9.6% and the 3 year old or newer market fell 7.1%. Top five selling brands in the county market during the first six months of 2023 were Toyota, Honda, Ford, Nissan, and Chevrolet.
