www.GADA.com | 5 GADA Members: I am pleased to present GADA’s 2024 Membership Directory to you. I encourage you to use the Membership Directory often throughout the year. If you’re trying to reach a fellow dealer, a particular government organization or someone in the GADA office, this directory has the contact information you need. It includes the Franchise Practices Act, Auto Advertising compliance information and much more. I also encourage you to make use of our Associate Member listings. GADA’s Associate Members provide products and services to help our dealerships. Many of these companies support GADA in several ways, including sponsoring the annual GADA Convention, advertising and contributing valuable content to GADA publications. The support of Associate Members is crucial to the success of GADA and we appreciate their participation in our organization. If you are not active in GADA, I urge you to change that in 2024. Playing an active role in GADA and taking advantage of all that the Association has to offer will help you, especially as our industry evolves and becomes more complex. You will benefit from getting involved in so many ways — from being educated on important information through webinars and email alerts to receiving excellent customer service and dividends from the GADA Workers’ Compensation Fund to networking and making lasting friendships at the GADA Convention. If you’re asking yourself how to get involved … that’s easy! If you are receiving GADA emails, be sure to open and read them. If you aren’t receiving GADA emails, the first step is to send an email to info@gada.com to get on the list. When there’s an event, such as Dealer Day at the Capitol, Regional Meetings or webinars, sign up. When GADA is calling for assistance with grassroots, pick up the phone and call your local legislator. I promise you won’t regret getting involved. It is a true honor to serve as your Chairman. Have an outstanding 2024! Charles Prater 2023-2024 GADA Chairman CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
6 | 2024 Membership Directory PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Dear GADA Members and Friends, It seems like it wasn’t long ago that I was writing my first message as GADA President. Six years have passed, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of not only me but this outstanding organization. It is an honor and pleasure to serve the franchised dealers of Georgia. As part of GADA’s ongoing mission to assist our members, I am proud to present you with the 2024 Membership Directory. This publication can be used often throughout the year as a resource to quickly find important information and contacts. GADA continues to represent the interests of franchised dealers at the State Capitol as well as in Washington. We work each day to make sure that lawmakers know and understand the benefits of the franchise system to consumers and communities. I encourage all dealers to get involved in the legislative process. The benefits of getting to know your local legislators cannot be understated. If you don’t know your local legislators, I encourage you to reach out to them and introduce yourself. Better yet, invite them to tour your dealership so they can see the positive impact you have on your local community. The many legislative triumphs GADA has achieved over the years would not be possible without the voices of our dealers. GADA also continues to provide value to our members through our successful workers’ compensation fund, insurance agency, business forms store and title services. One of the most important functions that GADA performs is to provide information to our members, such as upcoming changes in laws, compliance guidance and legislative action alerts. Information is communicated by email, so it is absolutely critical that GADA has up-to-date contact information for key employees at every dealership. What’s even more important is for key employees to open our emails and read the information. We know dealership employees are inundated with emails every day, but I assure you, if GADA is sending an alert, there’s information that dealers need to know! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, your GADA Board representative or the GADA staff with any questions or concerns. We want to hear from you! We count on your feedback to let us know if we are on the right track. Best regards, Lea B. Kirschner GADA President & CEO

www.GADA.com | 9 STATE REVENUE COMMISSIONER'S MESSAGE Frank M. O’Connell State Revenue Commissioner GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE 1800 Century Boulevard, NE | Atlanta, Georgia 30345 January 3, 2024 Dear Members of the Georgia Automobile Dealers Association: I am excited about the opportunity to connect with all of you regarding policy and administrative matters during the upcoming legislative session and beyond. Our Motor Vehicle Division, under the leadership of Director Robert Worle, is anticipating another year of fruitful collaboration to enhance the well-being of your industry. 10 | 2024 Membership Directory NADA STATE DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE Steve Middlebrooks NADA State Director On December 12, the FTC finalized what it has called the CARS (Combating Auto Retail Scams) Rule. The flawed Rule is aimed at changing the way dealers interact with customers by requiring additional disclosures related to pricing, new requirements for voluntary protection products, and extremely burdensome record-keevping mandates. NADA immediately prepared a FAQ for dealers about the requirements of this ill-advised Rule and, most recently, held a webinar for all dealers. NADA is also hard at work preparing a comprehensive compliance guide. NADA also is fighting the FTC CARS rule on multiple fronts. NADA and the Texas Automobile Dealers Association have filed a legal challenge to the Rule in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, NADA continues to support a House appropriations rider that would prevent the FTC from spending funds to enforce the Rule for one year, as well as the FTC Re-Do Act introduced in the Senate. Supporting NADA is no different or less important than supporting a state dealer association like GADA or other organizations that work on behalf of businesses. Your financial support is critical to NADA’s mission. When NADA is successful in its pursuits, dealers are better off. It’s that simple. My message to you is also simple and direct. Judging by NADA PAC participation, which consists of only 10% of Georgia dealers, it is apparent that only some appreciate the value of NADA and its constant fight for franchised dealerships. We can do better — YOU can do better. You can show support for NADA by becoming a member, renewing your membership, participating in the many workshops and webinars that are offered, and participating in grassroots efforts. If you have not filed a prior authorization for NADA PAC, please reach out to me directly or to GADA at legislative@gada.com. It’s your livelihood. Invest. And invest wisely. Please contact me if I can be of assistance.
