winter 2014 23 Utah’s banking industry recently lost a highly respected colleague and longtime friend, Louis A. Harris. Lou enjoyed a long and successful career as a banker and was very involved in the community. Throughout his career, he held many posi- tions at First Security Bank and retired as President of First Security Leasing Company. Lou was very active with the Utah Bankers Asso- ciation and served as Chairman in 1987. Lou, born on January 4, 1932 was married to June Karo- line Samuelsen and was especially proud of his five chil- dren. Lou was a “True Utah” man and loved watching the Gridiron Utes and Runnin Utes.
