Hoosier Banker 51 HORIZON BANK / Michigan City Scott Kosik has been named vice president, commercial loan officer, Indianapolis office. He joined the bank in 2012 and has served in areas including finance and operations. Kosik recently served as board president of Save the Dunes. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Joe Walter has been promoted to vice president, agricultural lending group manager, following the retirement of Larry Kummer. Walter previously served the bank as senior agricultural lending officer. He has more than 30 years of banking experience and additionally has been active in the agricultural industry. Walter is a graduate of Purdue University. Eric Aschleman has been promoted to vice president, agricultural lending officer. He has worked in the agricultural industry since 2004 as a lender and auditor for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Susan Hargrove has been promoted to vice president, commercial loan officer, central Indiana region. She joined the bank in 2013 as assistant vice president business banker and was appointed in 2018 to commercial lender. Hargrove has served the community as a board member of Shepherds Center of Hamilton County, as membership committee co-chair of Indy CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and as secretary of New Leaf National Foundation. Grayson Fenwick has been promoted to vice president, commercial loan officer, central Indiana region. He joined the bank in 2016 as a business banker and was promoted to commercial loan officer in 2017. Fenwick had 10 years of prior experience as a banking center manager for various financial institutions. He has been active with the Arthritis Foundation and as a coach for youth softball and soccer. Karen M. Poff has been named assistant vice president, Treasury management officer covering Michigan City, LaPorte, South Bend and Elkhart areas, plus Berrien County in Michigan. She previously was a business banker and earned the bank’s Burton B. Ruby Award in 2015 and President’s Club Award in 2008. Poff is an ambassador for the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce and has served in leadership with several nonprofits. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University. MUTUAL SAVINGS BANK / Franklin Lindsey Turner has joined the bank as Treasury management officer. She has 15 years of banking experience serving as branch manager, Treasury management officer and merchant services officer. Brad Woehler has joined the bank as compliance and CRA officer, BSA officer, security officer and internal auditor. He works closely with Chris Schaefer, current internal auditor, who has announced yearend retirement plans. Woehler previously served as internal auditor and assistant compliance officer with First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Greensburg. PREMIER BANK / Defiance, OH Dawn Clopton has been promoted to vice president, community development, Fort Wayne market. She has more than 20 years of banking experience. Clopton’s community outreach includes service as treasurer of the Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., treasurer of The Impact Center, campaign director and annual campaign chair for the YMCA Child Care Services branch and vice president for the REALTIST Association of Northeast Indiana. Additionally, she is active with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement of Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne Urban League, and has served as head cheerleading coach for South Side High School in Fort Wayne. Clopton currently is pursuing a master’s degree through Indiana University. PNC BANK, NA / Wilmington, DE Alex Mereish has been appointed senior vice president and market manager for PNC business banking in Indiana, Missouri, central Illinois and southwest Michigan. Based in Indianapolis, he most recently served as senior vice president of PNC business banking for downtown Chicago. With almost two decades of financial services experience, Mereish has volunteered in several PNC community programs and leads efforts internally to support diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, mentoring and professional development. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Radford University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
