He joined German American in 1999 in connection with the company’s merger with 1st Bancorp of Vincennes. Rust was named chief financial officer in 2005 and currently serves as executive vice president and CFO. He has more than 30 years of experience as a banker and federal bank examiner. GERMAN AMERICAN BANK / Jasper Clay W. Ewing has been promoted to vice chairman of the bank and its holding company, German American Bancorp Inc., effective Jan. 1, 2021. He has been with German American for 26 years and currently serves as president and chief banking officer. Ewing has 41 years of banking experience and has served in various corporate positions since 1999. Ewing served the Indiana Bankers Association as 2018 chairman and is a member of the IBA 40 Year Club. Ed Erickson has joined the bank as senior vice president, director of mortgage. He has been in financial services for 32 years, with experience in mortgage sales and operations. Erickson has been in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including the Mortgage Bankers Association, for which he served as president of the Southwest Florida chapter. He earned undergraduate and MBA degrees from Grace College. D. Neil Dauby has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of the bank and of German American Bancorp Inc., effective Jan. 1, 2021. He joined German American in 2001 and was named executive vice president and chief commercial banking officer in 2016. A certified public accountant, Dauby previously served for 16 years in leadership with regional accounting firms in Kentucky markets. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University. Cindy Kinnarney has joined the bank as north region president, Monroe and Lawrence counties. She has 24 years of experience in banking, with a background serving commercial clients. Kinnarney has been active with organizations including the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, the Bloomington Economic Development Corp. and Downtown Bloomington Inc.
